I've played a few games of D&D (you know, the one where 1 person plays the god of all Questing and the rest followed his command), and it got boring REAL FAST! I myself prefer the visual, shops and sanctuaries of Final Fantasy, basically a video game D&D. I have RPG Maker VX (an RPG game maker), or one of my relatives does. I could easily make an RPG like that with a set story and visualised villains and shops depending on your geeky alignment (War Gamer, Troll, Cosplayer, and, ironically, the RPG fan.)

The great thing is, I just need two things to start it up. I need art (the geeks and tactics, but you know, a transparent no-background thing, and a tileset(the map for the whole world) of a modern day metropolitan convention center. It can be either Yu-Gi-Oh video game card style. Or you actually PLAY AS A NERD. Either could fall under the paragraph above.

Yeah, a long post, but a good idea. So, how about a group project?

Hmmm... That does sound a bit ambitious. I don't know if RPG maker could handle the actual card game inside of the RPG, but you could take on the role of one of the geeks and you have to prove your geeky worth.

Since the card game is in a way a visual representation of what we are thinking of doing to the person we are having a geek fight with (a geek fight being a debate about something geeky), you could take on that concept in the RPG. If you take that route, you would not even need art from Geek Fight (this type of application was not in the contracts we had for the art, and I want to avoid red tape), but you would need the right tilesets (dunno where to get them).

If anyone knows how to make what you need, I say go for it.

I can easily find the tilesets, but with superbly posessed-by-your-hobby geek like Grognard of HAXX0RS (I forgot what to call it.), I can't really contemplate something like that.

Style: You will play AS A GEEK (Woot...), and you have the option of playing the War Gamer (Good with strategy and intellegence and stuff like that), the Cosplayer (They can buy and wear disguises which sometimes are almost impossible without...), the Trollz (they're brute harshness online bends to reality as they can control computers and make you cry.), and the Video Gamerz (they're newfound insensitivity to violence makes them the prime demeanor of attack!). Any other types may happen, but most likely it is for a sequel (the odds of one are 4.00005%... now...)

Main Quest: You are one of four geeks. You are meant to take a super rare ultra misprint thingy that differs depending on your allignment. Thw other 3 kinds of geeks try to stop you, take it after you get it, throw you out, when you get back in your type of geeks are huddled in a corner, and something, something, something, blah, blah, blah, etc. etc. etc....

Look how terrible my boss artwork is!
